United Infusion is a fast-growing healthcare company looking for an energetic Warehouse Associate that is a team player and hardworking. You will be responsible for performing an array of duties.

Job Location: Sandford, NC
  • Welcome delivery truck ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe.
  • Checking and cleaning all medical equipment.
  • Assist shipping, receiving, and unloading trucks.
  • Assist in the counting of physical inventory.
  • Properly pack items to be shipped safely and securely to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
  • Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs.
  • Create Fedex and UPS labels.
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to the holding area.
  • Prepare all orders for daily shipment.
  • Tag and label merchandise.
  • Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.

Biomedical Equipment Technician

Job Description

Job Location: Sandford, NC
  • Responsible for servicing medical equipment, primarily infusion IV pumps. Performing annual preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical devices, and performing appropriate repairs on those pieces of equipment.
  • Properly documenting the repairs, estimates, and time spent on each piece of equipment.
  • Works independently on repairs, safety testing, and preventive maintenance (PM) of general clinical equipment.
  • Maintains records, writes reports, and coordinates outside repairs.
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures, methods, tools, and materials used in the use, repair, and maintenance of clinical equipment.
  • Demonstrates competency related to the use of testing equipment used in maintenance and troubleshooting of clinical equipment.
  • Demonstrates competency related to the use of service and repair manuals including an understanding of operating instruction, service diagrams, flow charts, and schematics.
  • Provides technical support to customers, as needed.
  • At least 1 year of previous experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in performing biomedical equipment repair services.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Supervising the daily operations of the technical service team and ensuring strict compliance with product quality assurance, equipment, and procedural standards, health, and safety protocols, as well as engineering specifications.
  • Demonstrate competency in strategic thinking and leadership.
  • Responsible for timely project delivery, proper product handling, and consistency of operations and oversees service procedures.
  • Addressing customer needs, developing service delivery plans, testing equipment, implementing policies and procedures, to ensuring the proper utilization, operation, and maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Develops and administers department orientation procedures for new employees.
  • Assigns routine and emergency repair work to others or personally performs that work
  • Conducts safety and operational inspections of medical equipment.
  • Train others in repair and maintenance techniques; keep accurate records and prepare simple reports.
  • Work well with technicians, work effectively with limited supervision, react rapidly to equipment malfunctions in emergency situations.
  • Does preventive maintenance include cleaning, adjustment, and repair of various pumps.
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of spare parts, test/ calibration equipment, and required hand tools.
  • Exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering, communication engineering, business administration, or other related disciplines.
  • A strong background in medical technology, engineering, science, and business management.
  • The principles of bio-medical equipment repair and maintenance; manufacturers manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance schedules; the types and functions of various test equipment and spare parts needed for inventory.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate highly technical issues to a non-technical audience while possessing the technical depth to collaborate with physicians.
  • Strong business and organizational skills: Proficiency with identifying, defining, and resolving problems; developing systemic solutions.
  • At least five years’ experience in the biomedical field.
  • Strong time management and ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma required
