Refurbished • Covidien Kendall • Ordering Code / SKU 9525 • Sequential Compression Controller • 1-Year Warranty
The Kendall SCD™ EXPRESS™ Compression System Controller 9525 is a portable intermittent pneumatic compression controller designed to increase venous blood flow in at-risk patients and help prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). The system supports compatible leg sleeves and foot cuffs and can provide therapy to one or two limbs.
What’s Included
- 1× refurbished Kendall SCD EXPRESS Compression System Controller 9525
Inclusion note: Historical manufacturer documentation describes the original SCD EXPRESS system package as including controller tubing, while sleeves and foot cuffs are single-patient-use garments supplied separately. United Infusion's current product listing does not independently confirm tubing, battery, bed hook, shoulder strap, garments, or other accessories as included with every refurbished unit. Confirm the exact package before ordering.
Product Description
The SCD EXPRESS controller applies intermittent pneumatic compression through compatible Kendall leg sleeves or foot cuffs. During startup, the controller performs a garment-detection procedure and verifies the detected garment against the selected leg or foot configuration. Leg-sleeve therapy is the default configuration; foot-cuff use requires selection of the corresponding foot setting. The controller also automatically regulates therapy pressure during operation.
When compatible leg sleeves are used, the system provides sequential, gradient compression. Compatible foot cuffs receive uniform compression. Manufacturer specifications establish a nominal pressure of 45 mmHg for leg sleeves and 130 mmHg for foot cuffs.
The controller incorporates Vascular Refill Detection (VRD), which measures the time required for the veins in the compressed limb to refill and uses that measurement to determine the interval before the next compression. The refill measurement is performed after initial pressure is established and approximately every 30 minutes during therapy.
- Intermittent pneumatic compression therapy
- One- or two-limb operation
- Leg-sleeve or foot-cuff operation
- Sequential, gradient leg compression
- Uniform foot compression
- Vascular Refill Detection technology
- Startup garment-detection and configuration-mismatch checking
- Automatic microprocessor-controlled pressure adjustment
- Audible and visual fault alarms
- Portable 3.5 lb controller design
- Optional lithium-ion battery operation
- Hospital-grade AC power connection
Therapy indication note: Manufacturer and FDA documentation indicate use of the SCD EXPRESS Compression System to increase venous blood flow in at-risk patients to help prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Foot-cuff use is additionally indicated for circulation enhancement, acute and chronic edema, extremity pain associated with trauma or surgery, leg ulcers, and venous stasis / venous insufficiency. Use must follow the applicable prescribing information, contraindications, garment instructions, and facility protocol.
Garment compatibility note: Historical manufacturer documentation identifies specific Kendall EXPRESS leg sleeves and foot cuffs for this controller. These accessories are disposable patient-contact products and are not represented as included with the refurbished controller. Current availability and exact compatibility should be verified before procurement.
Battery note: The lithium-ion battery was an optional controller configuration. Battery installation, condition, runtime, and inclusion should therefore be verified on the individual refurbished unit rather than assumed from the controller specification.

"We needed our syringe pumps serviced for scheduled maintenance to continue to provide safe care. In the past, we had to send them off with a 6 weeks turn around time. Then we found United Infusion. 30 min down the road, 24 hr turn around and 30 minutes down the road. We are extremely grateful!!!"
