Hospital Bed Refurbishing Process

At United Infusion, we follow a comprehensive refurbishing process for hospital beds to ensure they operate safely and reliably. By following this systematic refurbishing process, hospital beds are given a new lease of life, providing comfort and support to patients while promoting sustainability and cost-effectiveness in healthcare facilities.

Below are the key steps of our refurbishing process:

1. Disassembly

The first step in the hospital bed refurbishing process involves disassembling the bed. The hydraulics, valves, electrical components, and boards are carefully removed from the bed frame.

2. Cleaning and Disinfection

Once disassembled, the bed undergoes a thorough cleaning and disinfection process. Every part of the bed is meticulously wiped down to ensure a hygienic and sanitized surface.

3. Sanding and Preparation

The bed is taken to the sanding booth where it is sanded down to create a smooth and even surface for refinishing.

4. Rails Refurbishment

During this stage, the bed rails are stripped off, painted, and left to dry. Additionally, new stickers are added to enhance their appearance and functionality.

5. Paint Booth

The bed and its components are carefully taped off to prepare for the paint booth. In the paint booth, the rails and bed frame receive a fresh coat of paint, restoring them to their original or updated color.

6. Assembly and Packaging

After the paint has dried, all parts are stacked and packed accordingly. New wheels and casters are installed to ensure smooth mobility.

7. Reassembly and Electronics Integration

The bed is now ready for reassembly. All previously removed electronics and components are skillfully integrated back into the bed frame to restore its full functionality.

8. Final Quality Check and Storage

A final quality check is conducted to ensure the bed meets the required standards. Once approved, the refurbished bed is either shipped off to its destination or added to the backstock in the warehouse, ready for future use.
